Sweet and tangy Hawaiian turkey tenderloin slathered in a pineapple and clove BBQ sauce. Bake it or grill it, it's perfect for family dinners.

- 2 turkey tenderloins (or about 2-3 pounds)
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp cider vinegar
- 1/2 c pineapple juice
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a pot, melt the butter and cook the onion and garlic in the melted butter. Whisk in the flour.
- Add the remaining ingredients, except the tenderloins, mixing well. Simmer about 15 minutes.
- Put the turkey tenderloins in a shallow baking dish and pour the sauce over the tenderloin.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
- Let meat rest before slicing.
- This could also be grilled on medium heat, occasionally basting the tenderloins with sauce.
