Ranelius Scholarship

The Minnesota Turkey Growers Association’s Ranelius Scholarship Program encourages students who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in a post-secondary educational institution in or out of the state of Minnesota to prepare for a career in some phase of the poultry industry. A total of $3,000 annually is available to distribute to worthy candidate(s).

The application includes:

• Basic background and contact information, education history and school activities
• A brief essay based on the prompt, "Agriculture is an ever-changing industry. How can the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association (MTGA) and the Minnesota Turkey Research and Promotion Council (MTRPC) work towards preparing students from all backgrounds for an occupation and future in the turkey industry?"
  • Essays are not to exceed 1 page, doubles spaced, 12 point font
• 1 letter of recommendation
• Headshot photo

Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled or on track to enroll in a post-secondary educational program.
• Preference will be given to:
  • Career track in the poultry industry
  • Scholastic records
  • Have not previously received a MTGA scholarship
