Minnesota Turkey Growers Association enhances the success of the Minnesota turkey industry through member engagement, strong advocacy with policy makers and public outreach. We are the voice of Minnesota’s turkey farmers who have made our state the largest producer of turkeys in the nation year after year.
We seek a proactive Office Manager who excels in bookkeeping and possesses strong organizational skills. A successful candidate is detail-oriented and enjoys working in a team environment where everyone contributes to meeting the needs of our members as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent applicable work experience considered
Proficient in desktop and online version of QuickBooks (3-5 years preferred)
Experienced using Microsoft Office 365 applications preferred or aptitude to quickly learn
Practiced in video conference call technology
Adept at learning new concepts and technology
Exemplary planning and time management skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
Responsibilities
Performs bookkeeping duties utilizing QuickBooks
Manages all elements of accounts receivable and accounts payable
Prepares necessary documentation for annual audit
Administers bi-weekly payroll using Paychex Flex
Assists with benefit management including health coverage and retirement
Keeps data spreadsheets up to date utilizing Excel
Provides CRM support
Coordinates facility and office equipment/supplies management with appropriate service providers
Facilitates communication with board, members, and staff
Plans events both large and small
Ensures contracts, licenses, and other necessary deadlines are met
Develops and carries out an efficient documentation and recordkeeping system
Works expeditiously to complete tasks in a timely manner often managing multiple competing deadlines
