The Great Minnesota Get Together is fast approaching. Drawing in hundreds of thousands of people from all 50 states and 80 countries, the fair provides a great opportunity to reach consumers.
As always, the Minnesota Turkey Research and Promotion Council will have their usual space in the Dairy Building. The Turkey Booth is set at the end of the second row in the building, just inside the side entrance. It’s perfectly placed for great foot traffic.
With Minnesota providing the President’s turkeys again this year, visitors will have the opportunity to suggest names for the two birds. There will also be a photo booth featuring the 2023 Presidential turkeys.
There is still time for growers to sign up to be a part of the booth and share their farm stories with consumers.
The Turkey Booth will not be the only turkey presence in the Dairy Building. This year, MTRPC partnered with Minnesota Wild Rice. Turkey was included in their national recipe contest and will be a part of their cooking demonstrations.
Speaking of cooking demonstrations, be sure to join Minnesota Turkey on Friday, August 30 in the Creative Arts building for a day of turkey cooking in the Cambria Kitchen. Lindsey Lokken of Blondies Butcher Shop and Wade Brelje of Rack Shack BBQ have agreed to spend some time showing visitors how to enjoy turkey.
Don’t feel like cooking, let the staff at Turkey To Go® handle it for you. The Minnesota Turkey Growers owned food stand has been a staple of the fair since 1958.
While the coveted secret recipe for the Giant Juicy Turkey Sandwich hasn’t changed, other changes are happening at Turkey To Go®. The stand is under new management. The MTGA board has brought on the Feliz Group as partners. They are excited to make Turkey To Go® shine.
One other place to look for Minneosta Turkey is inside the CHS Miracle of Birth Center and the adjoining Christensen Farm Stage.
Two toms will be strutting it up inside the birth center and MTRPC will be talking turkey on stage. Watch the social media channels for a full schedule.
