Jake Vlaminck entered the turkey industry when hisfather-in-law, Doug Gorans, decided to form a separate operation from hiscousins at Gorans Brothers Incorporated. As with any business transition,the process took a lot of time and discussion with accountants, attorneys, andconsultants.
The new operation began September 9, 2016 and became FahlunFarms - pronounced FALLEN - named after the township where the farmrests. It is also the name of a city in Sweden.
Jake and his wife, Stacey, love spending time with theiradult children - Sadie, Drake, and Kaylee. They recently purchased a pontoonand are trying to spend as much time on the water together as possible. Jakealso enjoys curling in the winter and is a member of Glacial Ridge Curling inWillmar, where he sits on the Board of Directors.
