The Minnesota Turkey Research and Promotion Council is an organization of turkey farmers that was formed in 1965 through the creation of the Minnesota Commodities Promotion Act at the state legislature and MTRPC is the oldest commodity council in the state.

Our mission: Dedicated to fostering a successful Minnesota turkey industry and its ability to make positive contributions to consumers, the economy, the environment and to its members.

WHAT WE DO

Since 1965, the MTRPC has worked diligently to encourage consumers to eat more turkey year-round, sponsor innovative turkey research in areas like turkey health and nutrition, and educate a variety of audiences about the benefits of turkey. All MTPRC programs are funded by a voluntary grower checkoff program, with oversight by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
