Many turkey farmers heat their barns in the winter with propane. Last year, a major propane shortage situation – for both farmers and homeowners in the upper Midwest – occurred due to several factors. The Minnesota Turkey Growers Association and the National Turkey Federation, along with state, regional and federal leaders, have been working since then to provide solutions to ensure adequate propane supplies going forward.
